PICTORIAL - BACK TO THE PAST
China Millennium Monument is located just beside old China Central TV, CCTV headquarters.
CCTV broadcasts events from here regularly. Monument area is a place for events, TV shows, and exhibitions. I went there to see a picture exhibition, part of of French-China Culture Year.In all, the view was disciplined but empty.
French picture exhibition was a flop. I saw only 20 visitors during that hot autumn day, all bored and lost.
To see French posters visitors needed to pay 30RMB, about 3 EUR, for a ticket which included ten post cards about Eiffel Tower. 30RMB is enough to have a good lunch in Beijing.
