Quality problem - Siemens fridge. Made in China, door handbar plastic broke. Service man visited home, 2EUR, to change the broken plastic, 2EUR, price of new plastic part 2EUR: in all 6EUR. Service was quick, result almost like new._________
Quality problem - curtain rails. This don't happen every day. Curtains and their plastic rail suddenly dropped down! Plastic parts cracked themselves. New rail was 10EUR per meter, including installing work by a service man._________
Haircut in Beijing can have good price/quality ratio. I used 35RMB (3,5€) haircut in a saloon: walk in, no wait, 10 minutes and ok. Recently I tried another saloon, 64RMB: clipper-person had two assistants, one on each side of him, to give tools! Fancy 30mins experience with only average result. Last month I went to 10RMB (=1€) haircut, one seat shop beside public toilet near Silk Street. Lady has had her business there for 16 years, foreign customers mainly from nearby embassies! Lady clipped my hair <8 mins, result was ok. No disinfection of tools, a bit smelly but no tickling head afterwards. I killed two mosquitos during the process. Will visit again._________
Goose feather quilt. You can watch when they make it at XiDan ShangChang department store 4F, a small shop with feather filling machine. Good quality quilt's cover about 20EUR, top quality goose feather filling 138EUR/kg, you need either 400 or 600grams into 150cm*200cm quilt. Very good quality/price ratio, and good experience to see it all._________
Quality problem with Canon in Beijing. I bought Canon EF 70-200mm F/2,8 L IS USM lens with 1600EUR, and that's a good lens. After one week usage it's white plastic around buttons cracked in Beijing cold winds. Canon retailer in Beijing said they can't do anything, that is my own fault. Canon representative in Beijing said: How can you prove you didn't break it yourself? That's typical past-times mentality in China. Canon in Beijing has a problem. I received unbelievable bad service attitude and lazy people, simply as bad as it gets. My Canon EF 70-200mm F/2,8 L IS USM lens is still usable but plastic around buttons is still broken and may not be weather proof any more._________
